why does someone wish to get fooled by love marriage with average-looking-average-rich girl friend for sake of belief that it will last long and they will die happily? ( phew!!! ) where as arranged marriage still offers better prospect for 90% of Indians. it's vice-versa true for gals also. finding a girl friend and searching for potential life partner are two completely different things. there are lots of smart guys who don't mix these two together. for girl friend, you know better what you need and for life partner, parents know better. if parents readily agree with your choice then it's great. i know one good example...my friend's friend confessed his wish to a gal working with him in same project. she replied she would marry someone who earns 10 lacs per annum. well, his salary is below half of her expectation. what impressed me was clearity of her mind. she knows...her parents will find someone what she expects. our basic social framework offers what you deserve best and it will also make your mom be proud mother of obedient son/daughter.

money in not everything in life. i can understand that some money si required to live a happy life, but it is not everything at all and secondly i wont agree with u that only mon-son love is real love. there ae various cases in the history to find the real love for ex, mother terresa love to the humaniy is true love.
in fact u cant classify true love on the basis of situation.
A true love is one which is pure, without any expectaton from other side.
i support ur points....love is an allusion and it gives temporary bliss...and most ov the LOv couples end up marriagin ppl their parents want them to...bcoz they knw tht wht their parents deicde is better 4 them.
I think that love & arrange marriage are two flips of the coin. In a sense they are quite different. But at the same time, irrespective of what the toss shows, you got to win the match.

i think for a gal its more than general that they get a match better than what they deserve largely because they are very few considerable girls and hell lot of eligible guys, so it hardly matters for them what is the form of marriage. i would blame it even on guys for giving up early till they find an adequate piece.
@ Writer : Marring your girlfriend or boyfriend is not a business contract where you check your break even !! I don't have idea about your personal life status but I feel you are not experienced enough as I can see in your writing Or this is your negative reaction towards someone's action . Money is not everything in Life Dude, even you know this.The person with whom your tuning match ,you can ride the biggest difficulties of life very easily. People should feel lucky to have someone special in their life. If you are going for arrange marriage, the most important things is adjustment and compromise because we do dream about our life partner and expects him/her to like that but what if he/she doesn't meet you expectation. Excepting each other negatives and deficiencies is true love for each other.You start moving the path you never wish to because you care for her/him. And your happiness Lies in him/her. These applies for Love marriage too. Initially , we are attracted towards each other , but knowing each other positives and negatives , and adjusting according only will make a perfect picture.
Framing Salary packages of boy or Richness of girl wont make your life successful and happy . Generally we are attracted to people whose thoughts and way of seeing things are totally opposite from us .They are happily married too. The reason is other person help you to completes the 180 degree view of your life.
You are seeing your life microscope from wrong angle. Trust Me, Give A thought on this ! I believe, You will find your answer and Relief :)
P.S. I was not aware that this post was posted long back in 2008 , May Be you are happily married now !! but i thought ppl should clear this misconception! There is no right or wrong in love/arrange marriage, whatever suits you is right. The attitude of person should be correct. I may be sounding rude to you but may not be someone else.
